The Washington Post and other media sources are reporting that President-Elect Barack Obama has chosen Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano to lead the Department of Homeland Security.
One of the reason cited ha been her handling of immigartion issues, drawing priase from other Governors, including Republicans.
Napolitano, pegged as a rising Democratic star, addressed the party’s 2004 and 2008 [...]

The polls just keep piling on. Yesterday we got polls in over half the United States. A massive 44 polls dropped in 26 States, 16 of them Battleground States Though the race remains Stable in our Presidential Projector there are some eye raising polls. Let’s get right to it.

According to Mark Halperin, the Obama campaign has decided to throw some financial resources into North Dakota, Georgia and John McCain’s home state of Arizona.

Tuesday was another busy day in the State poll roundup. With now less then a week to go until election day we had 24 polls drop in 17 States, 12 of them Battlegrounds States. And a minor change in our Presidential Projector as well. Let’s get to it.

Another Monday, another record day for the State Poll roundup. We had 32 polls drop today in 19 states. 13 of those states are Battleground States (though some are BINOs Battleground In Name Only). And of course we have another change in our Presidential Projector on top of that.

On the heels of yesterday’s polling showing two democratic polls giving McCain low single digit leads in his home state of Arizona comes this surprising poll from the highly respected and Conservative leaning Rasmussen Reports:
Obama 46 McCain 51 Undecided/other 3 McCain +5
