Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich is headed to Washington, DC. Governor Sarah Palin’s US Senate dreams, well, they’ve vanished along with Steven’s hold on office.

So, by now you know that Alaska Republican Senator Ted Stevens has been indicted on 7 felony counts of filing false financial disclosure statements. You may also know that polling indicates the Democrats have a chance to make real inroads in Alaska for the first time since, uh…hmmm. Well, you get the idea.
